VLL Interstate Project

We were selected for the design phase of the landscape improvement at the I-25 and Hwy 6 Interchange, allowing us to work even closer with the Village of Los Lunas (VLL). We created a cherished public improvement for the citizens of the Village, the state of New Mexico, and the thousands of visitors traveling along the I-25 corridor. The improvements include the Village of Los Lunas Welcome Tree and overpass graphics that incorporate the new slogan and logo.

“I think it’s beautiful, and I like the tree,” said Councilor Amanda Perea. “To me it signifies the ruralness.”

As a native to Los Lunas, Eric Garcia is excited to be part of the beautification of his hometown. His designs for the wayfinding improvements still preserve the small town feel, while creating a more organic appearance for the signage. The design embraces the deep roots of the community.

Construction for this functional artwork will begin in spring of 2014.
